On Monday, June 25th 2018 Ryan will host his 3rd annual Elly4Kids Golf event at Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club. This year’s tournament will be even better with more contests, prizes and a few special guests, including the legendary Bobby Orr! Several current and past professional hockey players, referees and celebrities will also be on hand to raise money to help Hamilton-area kids.

Golf 2017 raises over $50,000 for Local kids

The 2nd Annual Ryan Ellis Charity Golf Classic proved to be another huge success raising over $50,000 to help local Hamilton area kids.

The majority of the proceeds from the sold out charity event will be used to purchase new playground equipment and re-develop existing playgrounds within the City of Hamilton through Ryan’s Elly4Kids Foundation. Last year’s tournament raised $43,000 with $30,000 going to the city, $2,000 to the AM 900 CHML’s Christmas Tree of Hope, and a further $2,000 to the Christmas Children’s Celebration at Cathy Wever School. Funds from Golf 2017 held in June were used to renovate North Central Park in west Hamilton.

The 1st Annual Ryan Ellis Charity Golf Classic, held on June 27th, 2016, was a resounding success with several current and past professional hockey players attending the charity event. Over $43,000 was raised for Ellis’ Elly4Kids Foundation, $30,000 of which was donated to the City of Hamilton to support its ongoing initiative to upgrade play structures in urban areas, a program to which Ellis is deeply committed.

Thanks to the proceeds generated by last year’s tournament Andrew Warburton Memorial Park in Central Hamilton was outfitted with three new state-of-the art play structures. An additional $2,000 was donated to 900CHML Christmas Tree of Hope, while another $2,000 went to the Christmas Children's Celebration at Cathy Wever School.
