Golf 2018: Ryan Ellis and Bobby Orr team up to raise over $100,000 for local Hamilton Kids
Golf 2018 was a great success, thanks in large to the support of hockey legend Bobby Orr. The majority of the proceeds from the sold out charity event are being used to purchase new playground equipment and re-develop existing playgrounds within the City of Hamilton through Ryan’s Elly4Kids Foundation. Golf 2018, held at Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club, raised a whopping $103,000.
From the proceeds, $60,000 went to the City of Hamilton’s Play Structure Rehabilitation Program and was used to upgrade Woodland Park in East Hamilton with Rockview Summit Park, in nearby Waterdown, scheduled for renovation in the Spring of 2019. An additional $2,000 was granted to the Hamilton Children’s Aid Society, with a further $2,500 donated to the Children’s Christmas Celebration at Cathy Wever School.
Ryan would like to thank Bobby, and all the sponsors, participants and volunteers who continue to make Elly4Kids a huge success.
